Wix Harmony's Expanding Canvas
A design-led product launch that turns an AI website builder into an expanding collage of real editing gestures and finished site worlds.
Field notes / why it works
The opening names the category by 0:03 and the product by 0:04 while giant type resolves into a moving collage; 0:06.1–0:07.0 is the strongest replay peak. From 0:27 to 0:43, visible selections, add actions, and finished pages prove the control claim, with six cuts in the 0:35–0:40 interval. Furniture, beauty, motorsport, and outdoor examples keep refreshing the visual promise through 1:20.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished product launch turns the claim of flexible creation into a visual metaphor: text becomes a floating design canvas, then cursor actions produce radically different finished sites. It promises useful AI assistance while keeping creative control in the viewer's hands; the proof is a sequence of interface gestures and outcomes, not a list of specifications.
Why it works
- The opening says the category promise by 0:03 and identifies the product by 0:04, while enormous translucent letters give way to small centered words over a blue–mint gradient. One shot holds until 0:18 but changes internally at 0:02.0, 0:03.4, 0:10.0, and 0:12.6.
- The visual proof starts with an AI prompt and generated page at 0:20–0:27, then pays off the control claim through selection boxes, image tools, and drag-and-drop actions at 0:27–0:43. The 0:35–0:40 span contains six cuts.
- Three differentiated site worlds—furniture at 0:24–0:33, beauty at 0:35–0:46, and motorsport at 0:54–1:07—make the same product feel broad without needing a long feature lecture. The 0:06.1–0:07.0 collage of options is the most replayed segment.

| Element | Reference pattern |
|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 86.5 s; supplied analysis frames are 640×360 |
| Pace | 35 detected shots; 34 cuts, or 23.6 cuts/min. Five uncertain changes make the plausible upper bound 27.0 cuts/min. Seven internal steps; 28.4 picture changes/min. Mean shot 2.47 s, median 1.36 s. |
| Script | 166 spoken words; 117 wpm across the film, about 144 wpm while talking; 11 sentences, ~15 words each; no questions or numbers, frequent “you.” |
| Voice | One low-register adult narrator, measured median 96 Hz, expressive pitch movement; confident, inviting product-guide delivery. |
| On screen | Approx. 45% composited motion/design collage, 40% interface and finished-site views, 15% product/lifestyle imagery within the examples (inferred from the sheets). No presenter. |
| Text | Sparse promise cards and words embedded in examples; no transcription captions. Small centered sans text in the opening, then large editorial type inside mock sites and tiny blue editor labels. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal music-like bed is measured; no clearly established effects on cuts. Integrated −14.8 LUFS; true peak −1.5 dBFS. |
| Structure | Promise → creative possibilities → AI agent → generate/edit control → three finished worlds → interactivity/scale → brand signoff. No spoken CTA. |
