Field notes / why it works

The opening shows three performers already using the device, then flashes a high-contrast title at 0:00.56. Across 46 shots, close-ups of hands and controls make the feature labels at 0:07, 0:18, 0:28, 1:02 and 1:14 tangible. The six-second product plate from 1:26.1 gives viewers an inspectable payoff and contains the strongest replay peak at 1:27.4–1:28.3.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A three-person studio performance reveals a music device by letting the audience hear and see it being played. The film opens on people and a one-second graphic title, keeps switching between faces and tactile controls, inserts short feature labels at the exact moments the actions demonstrate them, and ends on an isolated product plate.

Why it works

  • The promise is visible by 0:00.75: three performers plus a bold product-family title; the viewer understands this is a music performance before any explanation.
  • At 0:07, 0:18, 0:29, 1:02 and 1:14, a control, mic, or keyboard is shown at work; feature claims are tied to hands and sound rather than a spoken list.
  • The final 6.5-second product plate at 1:26.1 gets the strongest replay peak (1:27.4–1:28.3), giving viewers time to inspect the hardware.

ScriptMusic-led. Recognizer returned 87 low-reliability words, 96 wpm overall / 155 wpm in vocal passages; 35 words were low confidence. Do not treat that transcript as a spoken product script.
VoiceExpressive live vocal performer using a handheld mic, with phrases and repeated sounds over the beat.
On screenRoughly 50% hand/product close-ups, 40% performer group and faces, 10% designed title and final product plate (estimated from sheets).
CaptionsNo continuous subtitles. About seven sparse orange brush-script product/feature labels, only at demonstrations.
SoundContinuous, foreground rhythmic dub/reggae-inspired groove; live vocal enters around 0:30. No clear cut-by-cut whooshes. −17.5 LUFS integrated, −3.0 dBFS true peak in source.
