CMF Phone 1 Test Chamber Launch
A silent phone launch film turns hardware claims into a rapid, tactile sci-fi lab test.
Field notes / why it works
The operator, control turn and rising test number in the first 3 seconds make a visual question before the product is explained; the processor proof around 0:05 is the strongest replay peak. Across 36 shots in 45 seconds, chip, game, camera, display, software and interchangeable-case scenes turn separate claims into visible demonstrations, then a user discovers the finished phone at 0:39–43.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A person enters a futuristic test room, starts a machine, and a rapid chain of tests turns a new phone into an object of desire. The film offers no spoken explanation: short technical labels, human reactions, tactile close-ups, and a beat-led soundtrack deliver performance, camera, display, software, customization, then the final product reveal.
Why it works
- The first 3 seconds create a visual question: operator at 0:00, hand on control at 0:01.1, test reading at 0:02.0. The specific processor proof arrives at 0:03.1.
- The claims change medium. A chip appears at 0:04.2, game footage at 0:06.9, a camera test at 0:10–16, display imagery at 0:18–21, and a phone assembly at 0:28–39.
- The 36 shots average 1.25 s, while the longest hold, a 3.16 s gaming shot at 0:05.4, gives the viewer time to absorb the demonstration. The 0:05 chip moment is the strongest replay peak.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 9:16 · 360×640 source · 25 fps · 45.0 s |
| Pace | 36 shots, 35 definite cuts, 46.7–49.3 cuts/min allowing two uncertain changes; mean 1.25 s, median 1.1 s, first cut 1.08 s |
| Script | No spoken words. Roughly one short visual claim at a time; labels are mostly 2–6 words plus numbers. |
| Voice | None; the people are silent archetypes: operator, tester, user. |
| On screen | About one-third people/product use, one-third product/machinery close-ups, one-third designed test/UI imagery (estimated from sheets). |
| Captions | No subtitles. Small white technical labels at the bottom; occasional UI microtype and dot-matrix displays. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal, music-like track; approximately 125 BPM. −13.2 LUFS integrated, 0.2 dBFS measured true peak. No clear effects tied to most cuts. |
| Structure | Cold-open test → performance → camera/display → design/software → modular build → user reveal/end card. No spoken CTA. |
