Field notes / why it works

The first visible greeting at 0:00.25 opens a chat-shaped curiosity gap, while the typed request reveals its meaning gradually through roughly 0:19. The image then grows from a tiny message area to a full product hero at about 0:22.5, followed by a high-contrast date card at 0:25.8. Six measured major visual changes in 30 seconds keep the reveal deliberate without rapid cuts.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A silent, text-led product teaser opens as a private conversation with an assistant. The viewer reads an oddly personal request, gradually realizes it is about replacing an old device, and only then sees the new product and launch date. The joke and product promise are carried by the same typed message.

Why it works

  • At 0:00.25, a tiny blue “Hello.” appears in a field of black; the slow build makes the viewer lean in rather than scan a busy opening.
  • From about 0:03.8 to 0:17, the request lengthens in small typing increments; its relationship language creates a curiosity gap before the device context is clear.
  • The restrained screen expands into a phone outline at about 0:19, a large product image and AI headline at 0:22.5, then a stark date card at 0:26.1.

Pace1 detected continuous shot; 0 hard cuts/min; 6 measured large picture changes, or 12/min. Subtle typing begins at 0:00.25 and is finer than the change detector reports.
ScriptNo spoken words. Roughly one brief greeting, one multi-sentence typed request, one short headline, and one date.
VoiceNone; the assistant's greeting and user's request exist only as screen text.
On screen~19 s sparse text on black; ~4–6 s interface/device transition and hero; ~4 s clean end card. No people.
CaptionsNone. The typed interface copy is story content, not subtitles.
SoundMusic is detected; no speech. Integrated −23.6 LUFS, true peak −9.4 dBFS. Approximate 96 BPM estimate has low confidence.
StructureGreeting → unusual request → escalation → device reveal → date. No spoken CTA; end card is the announcement.
