The earbud that moves through every moment
A 30-second music-led earbud film shifts from blue tennis action to red fashion and relaxed friends, using three short benefit cards.
Field notes / why it works
The first three shots make the product legible by 3.2 seconds, right at the strongest replay peak (3.1–3.4 seconds). A hard switch from blue court footage to vivid red fashion at 14 seconds refreshes the image, while short benefit cards around 12.7, 15.2, and 20.5 seconds connect sport, style, and friendship without an explanatory voiceover.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A music-led, 30-second lifestyle ad shows a wearable product being put on, then staying with one protagonist through sport, self-expression, and time with friends. Instead of explaining features, three short claims connect those settings: awareness of surroundings, continuous use, and freedom to keep moving. The product remains visible at the ear in close-ups and portraits.
Why it works
- The first product reveal arrives at 1.8–3.2 seconds, where a hand clips a white earbud on; the replay peak at 3.1–3.4 seconds falls just after this reveal.
- Blue tennis imagery turns into a bold red fashion section at 14.0 seconds, exactly as the edit accelerates to five cuts in the 15–20-second bin.
- Three plain-language cards at about 12.7, 15.2, and 20.5 seconds make a mostly visual film understandable without relying on the song's words.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 30.0 s; measured source 640×360 at 23.98 fps |
| Pace | 18 detected shots, 17 confirmed cuts; 34 cuts/min, potentially up to 56 if every uncertain motion event is a cut. Mean shot 1.67 s; median 0.96 s. |
| Script | Three on-screen claims of 3–4 words each; no dependable narration. Automated transcription reports 88 words/220 wpm, but 46 words have low confidence and the text appears contaminated by music. |
| Voice | Vocal-led music and possible brief scene chatter; no clear explanatory voiceover. |
| On screen | Predominantly live-action lifestyle footage: sport, product close-ups, fashion, friends; one inset collage around 9.4 s. |
| Captions | No karaoke subtitles; a few large, white, condensed keyword cards centered over live action. |
| Sound | Continuous, energetic, rhythmic song; no clear effects assigned to cuts. Measured −16.2 LUFS integrated, −1.8 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Branded/product hook → sport proof → fashion/social expansion → friends payoff → final hero portrait; no on-video CTA. |
