Duolingo Max mascot and feature launch
A 30-second vertical launch film that pairs a glowing mascot with two readable feature reveals and a fast neon finale.
Field notes / why it works
The benefit begins at 0:00 and the logo arrives by about 0:02.5, so the visual mystery resolves quickly into a product promise. A red error state at 0:09.7 turns into a mint explanation UI at 0:11.1, then a second feature gets a distinct scenario from 0:17.2 to 0:24.2. The rapid ribbon transition at 0:24.2 lands on a large mascot close-up at 0:25.4–0:25.7, the video's strongest replay peak.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A compact vertical product launch casts a glowing mascot as the emotional guide. It declares the upgrade in the opening four seconds, dramatizes a problem, shows two product features in oversized UI, then returns to the character and brand for a high-energy finish.
Why it works
- The benefit is spoken immediately at 0:00; the product logo arrives by about 0:02.5, before the first feature explanation.
- The edit alternates character and readable UI: a red mistake state at 0:09.7 becomes an explanation screen at 0:11.1; a second feature gets its own scene at 0:17.2–0:24.2.
- The finale switches to rapid abstract wipes at 0:24.2, then holds a large mascot face at 0:25.4–0:25.9. YouTube's strongest replay peak is 0:25.4–0:25.7.
