Anything, Literally: A Surreal Selling Film
A cinematic Squarespace ad turns an all-purpose selling claim into escalating fantasy services and brief website proof screens.
Field notes / why it works
The product promise is spoken by 0:03.5, then a skeptical one-word question at 0:04.8 makes each improbable scene feel like a test of that claim. Three short website views tie the fantasy to something sellable, while the strongest replay window at 0:10.7–0:11.1 catches a rapid shift from a site screen to an immersive scene. The large final claim at about 0:26.8 and brand at 0:28.6 turn the montage into a clear offer.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A calm narrator states a broad product promise by 0:03.5. A skeptical echo at 0:04.8 tests the word “anything”; a cascade of increasingly improbable, beautifully realized businesses answers visually. Realistic website screens briefly anchor the fantasy, then a large final text claim and brand CTA make the product connection explicit.
Why it works
- The claim arrives by 0:03.5, with the brand visible from frame one; the viewer knows what to test in every later scene.
- The film changes scale and genre, from a small alien at a counter around 0:03.9 to a creature adventure at 0:07.4 and a space ride at 0:11.1. The strongest replay window, 0:10.7–0:11.1, sits on a website-to-experience pivot.
- The same one-word answer punctuates different worlds at 0:08, 0:14, 0:17.5 and 0:19–0:20.5; then the longer final stretch resolves the premise with a clear claim at 0:26.8 and brand at 0:28.6.
