A Visible Smoke Test for Cabin Air Filtration
An engineer-led side-by-side smoke experiment turns an invisible filtration claim into a visual result, then opens the filter for physical proof.
Field notes / why it works
The first frame shows an unusual transparent test enclosure and labels the experiment, while the demonstration begins at 0:25. A long evolving split-screen sequence from 0:33 to 1:07 makes the red smoke versus clear cabin contrast easy to follow; the 1:29–2:03 filter teardown supplies a second physical payoff. The first replay peak at 0:25–0:27 lands on the mode activation.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
An engineer archetype runs a visually striking, side by side field test for a product claim the viewer cannot normally see. The result plays out in real time, then a hands on teardown shows physical evidence before a concise explanation connects the demo to the viewer's life.
Why it works
- The clear enclosure and car are visible at 0:00, and “HEPA Filter Demo” labels the promise before speech starts at 0:01.
- The red smoke sequence runs from about 0:29 to 1:28, letting the audience watch the claim being tested, not just hear it asserted.
- At 1:29–2:03 the discoloured filters become a second, tangible proof; the first replay peak, 0:25–0:27, lands at test activation.

| Pace | 30 shots, 29 detected cuts; 10.5–11.2 cuts/min allowing two uncertain changes; 32 internal visual steps; about 22 picture changes/min; mean shot 5.53 s, median 3.35 s |
| Script | 434 spoken words; 163 wpm across runtime, about 205 wpm while speaking; 25 sentences, 17.4 words on average; no questions or fillers measured |
| Voice | Two practical engineer/presenter archetypes, mid register, conversational and matter of fact; one explains setup and product, another demonstrates and inspects |
| On screen | Field test and product footage dominate; brief presenter segments, device close ups, overheads, split screen, simple graphics and a final logo |
| Captions | Sparse white sans serif labels and occasional small sentence subtitles; no persistent karaoke captions |
| Sound | Speech and on location sound over a low tonal bed (music like, inferred); no clear designed impact on most cuts; −20.7 LUFS integrated, −1.1 dBFS true peak measured |
| Structure | Setup → activate → observe → inspect → explain → connect to stakes → hard logo stop; no spoken CTA |
