Rivian OS 2 UI Feature Montage
A music-led software launch that moves from a rapid version reveal into a concrete tour of vehicle UI features.
Field notes / why it works
The product and version assemble by 0:01.5, and six cuts in the first 10 seconds create a brisk announcement. From 0:08 to 0:42, the film shifts into readable task and feature evidence, including a route handoff, controls, an energy graph, and terrain data. Ten changes within shots sustain movement even during the 18-second detected sequence starting at 0:24.2.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A 46-second product software announcement opens with a spare typographic name reveal, then turns interface surfaces into the story. It starts with fast color and card changes, spends the middle on a practical use case, and closes with a small utility icon rather than a spoken sales pitch. The promise is that a substantial new operating experience is available; the evidence is the breadth of screens and functions shown after 0:04.
Why it works
- The title assembles in under 1.5 seconds, with a yellow version badge establishing the release before any feature detail appears.
- Six cuts occur in the first 10 seconds; bright energy and climate cards at 0:05–0:07 make the software feel broad and immediately tangible.
- The 0:08–0:42 run lets viewers inspect real tasks: send a route, view a drive display, choose a driving mode, inspect a destination, read an energy graph, and see terrain data.
