Gaming on the dashboard
A 25-second launch proof that shows a game running inside a car before revealing a browsable library.
Field notes / why it works
The first frame makes the surprise legible: a vivid game on the car's central display, with a controller in front. One wide physical shot holds through menu and moving gameplay, then a single cut at 0:20.8 reveals the browseable library; that cut coincides with the strongest replay peak (0:20.8–0:21.1). Two short white text cards at 0:13.8 and 0:17.3 name the capability only after it has been shown working.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A 25-second, mostly wordless launch film puts a surprising software capability inside a recognizable physical product. It opens on the outcome already working, lets the viewer watch a short hands-on use case, and ends on the breadth of the interface.
Why it works
- At 0:00, the game title fills the center display while a controller rests in the foreground: the claim is visible before any explanation.
- The hand enters at 0:01.25–0:02.75; by 0:05.7 the menu and by 0:10.4 live gameplay provide sequential proof within the same car setting.
- The only camera cut is at 0:20.8, into the browseable library; that is the strongest measured replay peak (0:20.8–0:21.1).
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 25.1 s · source 640×360 at 23.98 fps |
| Pace | 2 measured camera shots; 1 cut, 2.4 cuts/min; 3 detected changes within shots, 9.6 picture changes/min; mean shot 12.54 s |
| Script | No planned narration. A 13-word audio fragment is detected at 0:17.5–0:20.4; 273 wpm over that fragment, with 9 low-confidence words. |
| Voice | Brief off-screen/gameplay voice, possibly incidental; no visible speaker (inferred). |
| On screen | ~83% wide interior product shot; ~17% tighter interface shot. Game/menu footage runs inside the display rather than as full-frame screen recording. |
| Captions | No speech captions. Two centered, white, all-caps feature cards over gameplay. |
| Sound | Continuous music-like bed, roughly 89 BPM (measured heuristic); game/audio fragment; −13.8 LUFS integrated, −2.0 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Result → hand interaction → gameplay proof → two-part feature claim → library breadth. No in-video CTA. |
