Field notes / why it works

The issue is legible by 0:00.5 over an athlete at a mirror, giving the statistic a human subject. The cut rate peaks at nine cuts in each of 0:10–0:15 and 0:15–0:20 as the film moves across sports, then slows for a 2.92-second collective statement and a 3.46-second CTA. The top replay point at 0:12.7–0:13.0 falls in the track-to-pool action sequence.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

An issue-led sports brand film opens with a stark participation claim over one athlete facing a mirror, then answers that isolation with a rapid, increasingly joyful cross-sport montage. A group win, large field statement, and quiet white CTA card turn the emotion into a program or product action.

Why it works

  • The issue is readable by 0:00.5 while the mirror makes the statistic personal; the first shot change is at 0:00.35.
  • The image rate climbs from seven cuts in the first ten seconds to nine cuts in each of 0:10–0:15 and 0:15–0:20; the sports and faces keep changing as the emotion reverses.
  • The highest replay point at 0:12.7–0:13.0 lands in the track-to-pool passage, where different bodies and sports become one movement sequence. The message gets its own 2.92-second hold at 0:23.65, then a 3.46-second CTA card.
