The 1,010 km single-charge journey
A cinematic electric-car challenge film turns a desert crossing into staged numerical proof, saving its efficiency result for the end.
Field notes / why it works
The first 10 seconds use nine cuts and no narration, turning night driving, people, daylight car footage, and an unexplained number into a visual question. Distance markers at 1:32, 1:45, and 2:17 make the journey measurable; the 1,010 km result at 3:14 is followed by the 7.4 kWh/100 km card at 3:20, the strongest replay peak.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A cinematic product film turns a measurable endurance test into a journey. It alternates atmospheric travel footage, human glimpses, and large progress numbers, then holds the decisive result until the final 25 seconds. The promise becomes explicit at 0:48–0:55: cross the desert with unusually low energy use on one charge.
Why it works
- The opening uses nine cuts in ten seconds, moving among night driving, faces, daylight car footage, and a large distance figure before any narration (first word 0:19.3).
- Progress numbers at 1:32, 1:45, and 2:17 make an otherwise abstract efficiency claim visible across a 3:40 film.
- The 1,010 km result at 3:14 and 7.4 kWh/100 km at 3:20 form a two-stage payoff; the latter is the strongest replay peak, 3:21.1–3:23.3.
