Field notes / why it works

The opener establishes the platform by 0:01.5 and reveals the actual game by about 0:02, so branding does not delay the product. Scenic cuts turn into a visible camera-and-reward loop at 0:22.7–0:25, then new actions and characters sustain variety. The 11.78-second card from 0:57.2 gives viewers time to read availability and the shop destination.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A brand mark opens on a solid field, then a quiet, visually varied tour shows a small world, its camera mechanic, and the charming things it lets players find. The final 12 seconds hold a clean title and availability card. Its promise is implicit: explore, photograph, collect, then play now.

Why it works

  • The opening switches from bold red hardware branding at 0:00–0:01.7 to an immediately readable grayscale bus and game world by 0:02–0:03; viewers know the platform and see the product quickly.
  • The first 20 seconds alternate scenic locations, then the camera UI at 0:22.7 and discovery stamp at 0:24 turn scenery into a repeatable action and reward.
  • At 0:57.2, the 11.78 s end card trades quick cuts for a steady logo, availability message, platform marks, and shop route.

Platform · aspect · lengthYouTube · 16:9 · 640×360 measured source · 69 s at 30 fps
Pace27 measured shots; 26 cuts, or 22.6 cuts/min. Four uncertain changes make the plausible range 22.6–26.1 cuts/min; mean shot 2.56 s, median 2.1 s. Including six internal steps: 27.8 picture changes/min.
ScriptNo reliable spoken script. Short in-world labels, photo prompts, and a two-word availability line carry the message.
VoiceNo intelligible narrator; machine transcript is low confidence and appears to mistake musical/vocal sounds for speech.
On screenAlmost entirely captured stylized gameplay: wide isometric exploration, medium character/action views, camera-viewfinder close-ups, then designed end card.
CaptionsNo speech captions. Text appears as game UI, discovery cards, branding, and end-card call to action.
SoundContinuous tonal, bouncy music bed (inferred from the measurement); no clear cut-synced SFX pattern. Reference measured −16.2 LUFS integrated and +1.1 dBFS true peak.
StructureBrand hook → world tour → camera/reward loop → additional interactions → availability payoff and shop CTA at 0:57.2.
