Notion Mail: A Music-Led Product Tour
A one-minute launch film that uses spare title cards and close UI demonstrations to prove three email benefits without narration.
Field notes / why it works
The moving mark names the product by 0:01 and lands in an app dock by 0:02.5, while the 0:04 promise is followed by concrete UI proof. Four sparse benefit cards around 0:11, 0:26, 0:33 and 0:38 reset attention before each feature demonstration; 25 internal picture changes keep a measured three-shot film moving.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A paper-plane-like brand mark and product name enter on a blank field. The icon lands among familiar app icons, a large promise appears, and a brisk desktop product tour demonstrates three benefits: sorting an inbox, drafting mail, and scheduling. The film finishes with a direct URL and a quiet logo hold.
Why it works
- The opening names the product by 0:01 and places it in an app dock by 0:02.5, making a new tool legible before the demo begins.
- The claim at 0:04 is paid off by visible controls: an auto-label setting around 0:13–0:19, a snippet and draft around 0:28–0:32, and a booking picker around 0:34–0:36.
- Each benefit is reintroduced by a spare black-on-white card at about 0:11, 0:26, 0:33 and 0:38, giving the viewer clear chapter breaks without narration.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 1280×720, 16:9 · 60.0 s · 24 fps |
| Pace | 3 measured shots, 2 measured cuts (2/min); 25 internal picture changes, about 27 total changes/min. The 56.08 s third shot contains most of the visual sequence. |
| Script | No intelligible speech. Seven main text beats: product introduction, promise, three feature cards, polish card, then CTA. Text inside the product is demonstration content. |
| Voice | None. Transcript labels music as speech; its 10-word/19-wpm figure is invalid for narration. |
| On screen | Approximately 0:00–0:04 title/icon setup; 0:04–0:51 intercut graphic cards and desktop UI; 0:51–1:00 CTA/logo. No visible presenter. |
| Captions | None; use centered headline cards and UI labels. |
| Sound | Continuous quiet, upbeat jazz-like instrumental (genre supported by a top comment); no intelligible words. Measured −22.1 LUFS integrated, −9.6 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Brand → promise → organize → draft → schedule → polish → free-start CTA → logo. |
