Field notes / why it works

Three different uses appear by 3 seconds, establishing range before the technical explanation. The purple airflow reveal around 4–11 seconds makes an invisible mechanism legible, and the replay peak at 3.6–4.0 seconds sits at its start. A run of roughly one-second detail and result shots at 16.6–21.1 seconds then turns the explanation into visible outcomes.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A polished product launch film opens on people actively using a styling tool, reveals the physical mechanism through macro CGI, returns to three visible results, and ends with a modular product lineup. Its promise starts at 0:00: a familiar product has a redesigned capability that changes what the user can do.

Why it works

  • The opening shows the device in use immediately, then changes person and attachment at 1.4 and 2.6 seconds; the feature claim has a visual referent before the technical explanation.
  • From 4.0–11.3 seconds, purple airflow makes an invisible mechanism visible. The replay peak at 3.6–4.0 seconds sits exactly at the handoff into that explanation.
  • At 12.6–21.1 seconds, roughly one-second detail and result shots accelerate through curling, shaping, and smoothing before the compact lineup at 24–27 seconds.

Script44 transcribed words; 74 wpm across the film, about 117 wpm during spoken phrases; five short sentences, no questions. Recognition garbles the product and mechanism names, so use the counts rather than the literal transcript.
VoiceOff-screen, composed commercial narrator; medium register with marked pitch movement. No presenter speaks to camera.
On screenApproximately 56% people using or showing results, 25% product/airflow macro, 8% parts lineup, 11% end card, estimated from shot timing.
CaptionsNone. The product itself carries the message; only logo/end-screen text appears.
SoundContinuous low tonal/music-like bed under narration; no reliable evidence of cut-by-cut effects. Measured −23.0 LUFS integrated, −10.4 dBFS true peak.
StructureUse → mechanism → three outcomes → modular lineup → brand/end card. CTA in narration around 25–27 s.
