Cayenne Electric cinematic capability reveal
A 127-second electric SUV launch film builds from a dark silhouette through driving proofs to a late wireless-charging reveal.
Field notes / why it works
The opening spends six seconds revealing the vehicle from near black, creating anticipation without a title card. A 54-shot mix of driving, tactile details, and long atmospheric holds lets each small feature label connect to visible proof. The most-replayed moment at 1:47.5–1:48.8 is the wireless-charging reveal, immediately before the clean hero profile.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A premium product launch film starts with a dark, silent-looking silhouette, then takes the product through increasingly expansive environments. Instead of a spoken explanation, four short feature labels attach specific claims to tactile proof shots; a late surprising feature leads into a pristine hero reveal.
Why it works
- The first car is only gradually visible from 0:00–0:03, and the first cut waits until 0:06.1: the reveal itself is the hook.
- 54 shots in 127 seconds (mean 2.35 seconds) mix tiny detail shots with 10.48- and 13.85-second holds, giving bursts of energy room to land.
- The most-replayed span, 1:47.5–1:48.8, is the wireless-charging proof; the feature reveal becomes the payoff instead of another driving montage.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | YouTube · 16:9 · 2:07 · source measured at 640×360, 25 fps |
| Pace | 54 shots; 25.0–26.9 cuts/min including uncertain changes; 30.2 picture changes/min; mean 2.35 s, median 1.61 s |
| Script | Almost no spoken copy. Machine transcript detects 13 low-confidence words, apparently a repeated music vocal near 1:34–1:42; no reliable voiceover. |
| Voice | None required; if vocals are used, make them brief and part of the soundtrack, not an explainer. |
| On screen | Predominantly cinematic live-action product and landscape footage; occasional driver/interior inserts and restrained feature labels. |
| Captions | No dialogue subtitles. Small white, two-line feature labels, usually in the lower side of the picture. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal, cinematic music bed; dramatic vehicle/road effects are suggested by audience comments (inferred). Measured −11.8 LUFS integrated, +0.2 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Silhouette → motion/performance → interface → terrain → utility → accelerated drive → surprising feature → hero identity → atmospheric end. |
