Cinematic action-to-offer launch trailer
An 80-second game launch film moves from rapid world-scale spectacle to a quiet character turn, then a clear release and preorder offer.
Field notes / why it works
The glowing anomaly and urgent goal line make the story legible by 0:08, while 43 shots keep changing the scale and kind of spectacle. A quieter black-and-white character passage around 0:39–0:59 resets attention before the title at 1:00.6 and the release and preorder cards from 1:03.7 onward.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A theatrical launch trailer gives the viewer a crisis, then a burst of proof that the product's world is worth entering. The first half sells scale through rapidly changing action; a slower, almost monochrome character passage gives the spectacle personal stakes. The final 20 seconds convert attention into a title, date, bonus and platform offer.
Why it works
- A strong visual promise arrives at 0:02.7–0:08.8: a glowing anomalous device, a character in motion and a city-scale rupture. The line about saving the city gives the action a goal by 0:08.
- The middle keeps changing the type of spectacle: foggy street at 0:12, fire at 0:17, red combat at 0:19–0:24, floating architecture at 0:26–0:34. The measured pace is 31.5–33.7 cuts/min.
- The 0:39–0:59 quiet black-and-white character sequence resets attention before the title at 1:00.6 and explicit September 24 date at 1:03.7.
