Field notes / why it works

A small white emblem holds on a city facade until the first cut at 1.75 seconds, then the edit packs 10 cuts into its opening 10 seconds. The 0:03.9–0:04.3 portrait/graphic moment is the strongest replay peak, while a six-second shoe-contact hold at 0:18.4 lets the product action register before the spare final mark.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A lone runner prepares, moves through a city, pushes through a short sprint, and finishes on a brand mark. The promise is conveyed through movement, shoe contact, and a brief performance claim around 0:16.6; there is no spoken explanation. A fast opening earns attention, then longer images give the run and branding room to land.

Why it works

  • The first 1.75 seconds hold a white swoosh on a dark building; at 1.75 the image jumps to feet. That clean emblem-to-action switch establishes the world without exposition.
  • The edit packs 10 cuts into the first 10 seconds, including 0.38–0.83-second action fragments at 0:07.2–0:09.7. The acceleration makes ordinary running footage feel athletic.
  • The most-replayed span, 0:03.9–0:04.3, coincides with a runner portrait and abrupt graphic treatment. The later shoe close-up at 0:21.5 and final running mark give the brand a visual payoff.
