Kinetic Type and Custom Badge Launch Teaser
A 19-second mystery teaser that races from stark word cards through colorful circular designs before holding a launch date.
Field notes / why it works
The first 2.4 seconds build a provocative sentence from tiny white words to frame-filling type, with four cuts in the first three seconds. Circular product clues arrive at 0:02.5, then a roughly 0.3-second-per-card design sprint leads to the most-replayed badge reveal at 0:11.4–0:11.6. A quiet, readable date card around 0:13.2 converts the mystery into a specific launch appointment.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A black-screen kinetic-type challenge gives way to a product silhouette and a rush of design variants, then holds a launch date while still concealing the full product. The first three seconds sell an attitude; the middle provides just enough physical evidence to spark guesses; the last six seconds turn curiosity into a date to remember.
Why it works
- At 0:00–0:02.4, one or two white words at a time grow into an oversized rebuke. Four cuts in the first three seconds make a simple sentence feel like an event.
- At 0:02.5–0:04.7, three overlapping circular objects supply the first product clue without a conventional demo. The product remains a mystery.
- The replay peak at 0:11.4–0:11.6 falls in the rapid badge/design reveal, where viewers can pause to inspect individual variants. The video then gives the date at about 0:13.2.

| Pace | 14 detected shots; 13 cuts, 41 cuts/min; 3 changes within shots, 50.5 picture changes/min; mean 1.36 s, median 0.5 s. The final detected shot lasts 8.17 s but contains two card changes. |
| Script | Text driven. Opening uses isolated 1–2 word cards; no reliable narrator script. Speech recognition found 9 words from 0:06.7 amid music, likely a vocal fragment (inferred), so 122 overall / 164 active wpm should not drive a new script. |
| Voice | No presenter or explanatory narration; optional brief rhythmic vocal in the track (inferred). |
| On screen | Approximately half the runtime is type/end cards; the rest is rendered circular product imagery, graphic designs, and a brief apparel/photo collage (estimated from sheets). No talking head. |
| Captions | None. Large headline cards carry the message. |
| Sound | Tonal music-like bed; rough beat estimate 107 BPM, low confidence. Integrated −15.0 LUFS, true peak −0.8 dBFS. |
| Structure | Provocation → product clue → attitude reset → lifestyle/design montage → launch date → terse sign-off. |
