Mascot on the Menu
A silent animated crossover turns a cooking misunderstanding into a mascot reaction gag, then reveals a limited-time quest.
Field notes / why it works
The mascot is moving by 0:00.25, and a portal reveal at 0:02.2 makes the crossover clear without dialogue. Food and face inserts accelerate through 0:15–0:20, landing on a three-panel reaction at 0:18.8 that overlaps the strongest replay peak (0:18.9–0:19.2); the 8.1-second end card then leaves room for the quest offer.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A bright mascot crosses into a miniature game world, meets a guest cast, and becomes the object of a food-related misunderstanding. The joke is told through scale, facial expressions, a cooking visual, and a reaction triptych; only after the payoff does an 8-second card reveal the partnership and quest offer.
Why it works
- The first 2.25 seconds start with a small game plinth, a glowing object, and a mascot entering from the left; no exposition delays the visual question.
- The middle trades setup and reactions at 0:10.9–0:20.2: cooking pot, anxious mascot, two unimpressed diners, then three-way reaction. The strongest replay peak is 0:18.9–0:19.2, on the reaction triptych.
- The long 0:22.9–0:31.0 branded hold gives viewers time to read the actual offer after the gag. The 0:01.9–0:02.2 and 0:10.8–0:11.2 replay peaks also coincide with visual turns.
