Field notes / why it works

Three currency symbols change rapidly in the first three seconds, and the spoken question arrives by 0:03.8. A concrete purchase at 0:33.5 turns the abstract system into a traceable path, while 31 internal graphic steps build from a network at 1:05 to blocks, verification, and mining. The 1:25.8–1:27.1 verification puzzle is the strongest replay peak, suggesting the dense mechanism rewards a second look.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A calm, densely narrated 16:9 explainer turns an abstract system into a sequence of simple black line diagrams on pale cyan. It names familiar examples, defines the idea, follows one concrete transaction, then reveals the system behind it. The screen behaves like a teaching surface: objects appear, connect, and change as the narration introduces them.

Why it works

  • At 0:00–0:03, three recognizable currency symbols replace one another before the question at 0:03.8; the viewer understands the territory before hearing the promise.
  • At 0:33.5, a buyer and bike sale give the abstract mechanism a trackable story. The diagrams progress from two people to wallets, bank comparison, networked computers, and blocks by 1:17.5.
  • The most-replayed point, 1:25.8–1:27.1, is the puzzle verification diagram: a field of computers, scrolling code, and a highlighted target. It is the densest mechanism, so viewers appear to revisit it; that interpretation is inferred from the replay peak.
