Supernatural Soft Glam ensemble film
A comic fantasy product launch that shifts from a long candlelit discovery scene to fast reaction cuts, then reveals the real beauty benefit in a hero pack shot.
Field notes / why it works
The moonlit house at 0:00 establishes a genre world, while the product enters by 0:02. The measured 30.65-second opening shot gives way to 44 cuts after 0:31 as prop gags, reactions and an outsider escalate the story. At 1:36, a five-second branded product tableau makes the real benefit clear after the fantasy setup.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A polished, comic supernatural short starts like a genre scene: a moonlit house, candlelit room, and three friends discovering that a beauty product seems to give them powers. The product claim arrives through dialogue, becomes a running visual joke, then returns as a clear pack shot and verbal benefit at 1:36–1:41.
Why it works
- A moonlit exterior fills 0:00–0:01.2, then a candlelit ensemble and product appear; the world is legible before the brand pitch.
- The edit saves its acceleration: 1 cut in the first 30 seconds, then 44 more cuts over roughly the next 75 seconds, following the story's comic escalation.
- The supernatural claim gets punctured by the final line at 1:39: the audience remembers the real beauty benefit while seeing several sticks in a branded tableau.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | TikTok upload · 16:9, 1280×720 · 1:45.2 · 23.98 fps |
| Pace | 46 detected shots, 45 cuts; 25.7–26.8 cuts/min including uncertain changes; 32.5 picture changes/min; mean shot 2.29 s, median 1.4 s. The 30.65 s opening shot is an outlier. |
| Script | 225 transcribed words; 133 wpm over the whole film, about 198 wpm during speech; 48 very short sentences, 7 questions. Some transcript words are low confidence. |
| Voice | Several young adult character voices: excited, teasing, conversational, then deadpan; high animation is measured across the mixed dialogue. |
| On screen | Live action narrative dominates; roughly 70% interior ensemble and character coverage, 20% house/entry exterior, 10% VFX, product and cat inserts (inferred from sheets). |
| Captions | No running dialogue captions. Sparse theatrical white serif credits and title; small yellow subtitle on the last cat joke. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal bed, close to dialogue level by the measurement; no consistent cut-hit pattern. Cinematic/spooky mood is inferred from the visual treatment. Integrated −22.2 LUFS, true peak −6.3 dBFS. |
| Structure | 6 beats: world and product → apparent powers → title/character introductions → household interruption → delivery-person comic conflict → product pack shot and final joke. Payoff 1:36; no explicit spoken CTA. |
