A Dull Client Brief Becomes a Design Comedy
A two-person office sketch turns a conservative client brief into an evolving Canva design, with each revision setting up a reaction joke.
Field notes / why it works
A question at 0:00 gets a visual answer when the second character appears at 0:01.6, establishing the duo before the client brief arrives at 0:15.4. The design artifact then changes visibly around 0:30, 0:42.8, 0:57.5 and 1:02, so the 38-shot sketch has a clear progression alongside the jokes. Reaction close-ups around 0:44–0:46 and laughter around 1:04–1:08 turn each design choice into a payoff.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
Two exaggerated creative coworkers receive a painfully conventional client brief and make a new design together. The comedy comes from their reactions and the mismatch between the sober brief and their flamboyant decisions; the product becomes useful through the design work visible above the set, especially from 0:30 onward.
Why it works
- The opening uses an immediate request and a visual arrival at 0:01.6; the viewer learns the pair's dynamic before the premise is explained.
- A real constraint arrives by 0:15.4: the client wants reliability and compliance. The pair reject a beige solution by 0:23, giving the design sequence a problem to answer.
- The design changes are evidence of action: a business card appears around 0:29, becomes brighter at 0:42, and accumulates details through 1:10. Reaction close-ups make each iteration a joke.

| On screen | Almost entirely live-action desk sketch: single close/medium shots, two-shots and wide set shots; design cards and brief projected as graphic inserts above the actors. |
| Captions | Small white sentence-case subtitles with dark outline/shadow at bottom center, generally one line. Character labels and role cards appear separately. |
