Blueberry Buzzsaw parking-lot chase
A wordless nighttime product skit turns a two-can reveal into an uncanny, escalating parking-lot pursuit.
Field notes / why it works
The first 1.9 seconds create an open loop with a distant still figure, a close lens wipe, and the same frame suddenly empty. A readable two-can insert at 0:03.7 ties the mystery to the product, while the chase grows from a single pursuer at 0:14 to doubled figures at 0:18.3 and unstable POV after 0:29.7. Seven cuts in the first ten seconds hook quickly, then longer wide shots make the geography legible before the frantic finish.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A deadpan, uncanny pursuer appears in an ordinary retail parking lot, then a cheerful customer reveals two cans. The product becomes part of a miniature nighttime chase, told mostly through bodies, props, and location rather than an explanation or spoken pitch. The promise is implicit from 0:00: why is that figure staring, and what will happen when the customer notices?
Why it works
- At 0:00.0–0:01.9, the distant motionless figure, red-shirt lens wipe, and suddenly empty frame make an immediate visual mystery. The first cut lands at 0:00.75.
- At 0:03.7–6.2, a top-down two-can close-up and a wider customer shot give the product a clear role before the chase escalates.
- The edit switches from 1–2 second shots in the first ten seconds (seven cuts) to longer pursuit views at 0:18.3–29.7, then shaky subjective motion from 0:29.7–40.8. That progression supplies both orientation and panic.
