Field notes / why it works

The 0:00–0:01.3 product macro and typed feature search establish the object before a person uses it at 0:01.3. Eight cuts in the middle five seconds turn traffic, wet footsteps, and night streets into a concrete noise problem, then the overlaid controls and waveform at 0:09.7–0:12.5 make the solution visible. A longer 1.64-second human shot gives the ending room to register.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A short, cinematic feature ad turns an abstract audio tool into a city walk: show the device, show the user selecting an audio control, then show the noisy world it can alter. The promise becomes explicit through the UI around 0:01.3–0:04.6 and again at 0:09–0:12; there is no conventional opening narration.

Why it works

  • The 0:00–0:01.3 macro product shot gives an immediate object to recognize before the edit opens into an outdoor test.
  • A precise UI layer sits on live action at 0:03.8–0:05.4, then returns in larger close-ups at 0:08.8–0:12.5. That connects the claim to a visible control.
  • The middle accelerates: eight cuts from 0:05–0:10, including shoes, signal, crossing, and night street. The environment supplies a visual reason to need noise reduction.

Pace16 shots, 15 cuts, 63.6 cuts/min; 67.8 picture changes/min; mean shot 0.89 s, median 0.8 s
ScriptNearly wordless. Automatic transcript finds 11 words only at 0:12.6, all low confidence; its 471 wpm estimate is unreliable as a narration target.
VoiceNo presenter or sustained voiceover; a brief low-confidence phrase near the end may be a vocal in the soundtrack.
On screenApprox. 80% cinematic live action, 20% prominent UI/product imagery (inferred from sheets).
CaptionsNo dialogue captions; tiny white app labels and controls, with pale cyan active pills.
SoundPlatform credits original sound; music-like bed around 75 BPM is a weak measurement. Sound change is the intended demonstration (inferred).
StructureFive beats: product, feature, city test, UI adjustment, quiet payoff. No explicit CTA.
