Preload’s missing-signal robotics launch film
A cinematic founder-led launch film makes a robotics data gap tangible through sensors, a live grip demo, and matching software readouts.
Field notes / why it works
The opening wide shot gives the hardware a stage, then three product inserts and a contrarian claim establish the problem by 0:06. From 0:12 to 0:41, concrete grip footage, three sensor components, and matching data screens turn missing contact and force into visible proof; a human-to-robot hand image at 0:54 broadens the payoff before the URL.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A cinematic founder-led launch film argues that a familiar solution to a hard technical problem misses a crucial signal. Physical props and a concrete failure example establish the gap; a real hardware stack and data interface supply proof; a wider future-facing benefit and direct URL close it.
Why it works
- The branded wide shot and two people approaching a worktable create a staged reveal before the first word at 1.48 seconds. By 5.9 seconds, the narration has challenged the usual answer with a short, sharp claim about broken data.
- The abstract gap becomes visible at 13.2–21.9 seconds: a top-down interaction, an out-of-frame hand, then close-ups of contact and force. Each missing signal gets its own picture.
- The film cashes out the claim with three named sensors at 27–34 seconds, an instrumented hand and data UI at 35–41 seconds, then a robot-human contact image at 54–56 seconds. It shows a chain from capture to use.
