HeyGen Video: Question to Cinematic Proof
A 38-second launch film turns a painted-wall question into an accelerating cross-industry montage and a restrained paper-card reveal.
Field notes / why it works
The two wall headlines finish a spoken possibility question by 0:02.3, and the first cinematic proof arrives at 0:04.3. A 6.12-second train hold interrupts the early racing cuts before six roughly 0.9-second business scenes and an eleven-cut burst at 0:25–0:30. A brief black frame resets attention for the quiet product and availability cards.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A speculative question appears as a giant painted wall headline, then the film answers with a succession of cinematic examples. The product name is withheld until 0:30; sound and image do most of the selling before a quiet availability card.
Why it works
- The first promise is legible by 0:02.3: the wall question becomes a concrete generation claim after a 0:01.1 cut.
- The proof changes scale and subject: racing at 0:04–0:09, a train at 0:09.5–0:15.6, then business categories from 0:15.6. This conveys range without a feature list.
- Pacing accelerates from six roughly 0.9 s category shots to eleven cuts in 0:25–0:30, then drops to a black beat and calm paper cards. The contrast makes the reveal feel earned.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 1280×720 · 24 fps · 37.6 s |
| Pace | 32 shots, 31 measured cuts, 49.5–51.1 cuts/min; 55.9 picture changes/min; mean 1.18 s, median 0.92 s |
| Script | 33 spoken words; 57 wpm across the whole film, about 119 wpm while speaking; four brief lines, two questions |
| Voice | Animated medium-register narrator, direct and curious; no visible presenter |
| On screen | Two wall headline shots, four racing shots, one road-marking claim, one long train scene, 21 varied proof shots, black pause, two paper cards |
| Captions | No speech subtitles. Oversized environmental headlines only at the start and one mid-film claim; small serif end-card type. |
| Sound | Tonal bed about 12 dB beneath voice; cut accents on roughly 48% of cuts; −14.7 LUFS integrated, −0.7 dBFS true peak |
| Structure | Question → capability spectacle → second business question → accelerating category montage → product/availability reveal at 0:30.6–0:37.6 |
