Bend 2 as an Anime Opening
A programming-language launch film that turns formal proof and parallel computation into an anime-style title sequence and rapid typography montage.
Field notes / why it works
The opening grows a tiny blue point into rings and red smoke before the identity reveal, building scale without a cut in the first 13.7 seconds. Concrete diagrams and a red exploit stamp at 0:31.9 give the abstract language a visual problem to solve; after 1:15, one-word cards and proof images accelerate to 8–10 cuts per five seconds. The final brand credit lands after that burst rather than interrupting it.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A programming-language launch becomes an anime opening: cryptic symbols and theatrical titles lead into small visual proofs, then a barrage of increasingly dense diagrams and one-word declarations. The promise emerges through the film rather than through a spoken pitch: this language is about rigorous proof and powerful computation.
Why it works
- The first 2.75 seconds grow from almost black to blue rings and a red cloud, creating visual suspense before the product appears (0:02.5–0:02.75).
- Technical claims become images: an exploit stamp over a grid at 0:31.9, an induction chain at 0:49.9, proof trees at 0:51, and parallel branching at 1:19.
- The edit accelerates into a memorable vocabulary burst: 43 cuts overall, with 8 and 10 cuts in the 1:15–1:25 windows. Giant black-and-white word cards break up the green and gold diagrams.

|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 4:3, 960×720 · 89.6 s at 24 fps |
| Pace | 44 shots; 28.8–30.1 cuts/min; 38.8 picture changes/min; mean shot 2.04 s, median 0.5 s. Long early holds skew the mean. |
| Script | No spoken explanation. The measured 152 words / 102 wpm are unreliable Japanese song transcription, not narration copy. |
| Voice | Japanese-language sung lead within a prominent pop score; no visible presenter and no spoken narrator. |
| On screen | Fully designed animation: smoky title art, flat typography, code/proof diagrams, abstract geometry; no live action visible. |
| Captions | No subtitles. Titles and technical terms act as large headline cards. |
| Sound | Continuous energetic vocal music, roughly 129 BPM; −13.2 LUFS integrated; no clear per-cut effects. |
| Structure | Atmosphere → identity → concepts → proof examples → fast claim montage → symbolic/brand ending. No direct CTA. |
