Starter prompt / by Refs

The creator shared no short prompt. This is ours for making a film like it with Claude.

Make a {LENGTH}-minute music video that teaches the Hindi consonants (व्यंजन), set to the song at {AUDIO_FILE}, entirely in code: one HTML page with a deterministic renderFrame(t), captured frame by frame with a headless browser and muxed with ffmpeg at 1920×1080, 30 fps. Detect the song's beats first and cut every scene on them. Open on the शिरोरेखा, the headline every letter hangs from, then a chart of all consonants by place of articulation (कंठ्य to ऊष्म) and voicing. Give each consonant its own scene: the letter in large glowing Devanagari while its object animates like a science diagram, for example क से कबूतर with pigeons taking off, घ से घड़ी with a ticking clock, च से चश्मा with a lens ray diagram, ठ से ठठेरा at an anvil with sparks, प से पतंग on a string, ब से बूँद with ripples. Show conjuncts like त + ् + र = त्र and end on ज्ञ से ज्ञान in a burst of light. Look: near-black #0a0a0b, one orange accent #ff5a1f, a few cream #ede6da paper-form scenes with a red stamp, thin HUD corners, tiny mono labels and IPA readouts, Anek Devanagari and JetBrains Mono, light bloom and film grain. Render a still of every scene and fix it before the final render.

Field notes / why it works

A tiny orange point expands into a precise HUD before the consonant grid appears at 0:13.9, turning the alphabet into a visible promise. Across 37 shots, each large glyph gets a different physical metaphor, from a waveform at 0:33.6 to an umbrella at 1:09.2 and a kite at 2:12.4; the complete chart returns at 3:16.9 as a payoff.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A tiny orange point expands into a dark scientific interface, then a voice introduces an educational song. Each consonant becomes a large Devanagari glyph and a diagram or object that embodies its associated word. The viewer gets the pleasure of completing a sequence while the visual metaphor changes on nearly every musical phrase.

Why it works

  • The first three seconds hold on a tiny point, then axes and radar rings grow from it by 0:00.75. That restrained opening makes the reveal feel intentional.
  • The consonant grid at 0:13.9 states the full scope; individual letters from 0:23.9 to 3:16.7 repeatedly deliver on it.
  • A consistent near-black, orange, and white system joins very different scenes: waveform at 0:33.6, umbrella at 1:09.2, kite at 2:12.4, fire at 2:59.4. The varied object is the reward; the frame stays recognizable.
