UX Decisions, Shown in the Interface
A silent 42-second UX case study turns a crowded CRM record into a series of annotated, animated design decisions.
Field notes / why it works
A full record screen at 0:00 gives viewers a stable baseline, then pale cyan markup repeatedly identifies a specific friction point before the clean UI resolves it at about 0:08, 0:15, 0:23 and 0:29. The 0:36 side-panel interaction proves that a user can act without losing the record. One locked composition and no narration make each comparison easy to follow, though the lower text rail is small at the source resolution.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A restrained, silent UX case study shows an interface first, then uses pale cyan wireframe overlays to expose the choices behind a revision. Every return to the clean product view resolves a concrete usability issue. The promise is visible by 0:04: the viewer will see why this screen was simplified, not just a prettier mockup.
Why it works
- The opening presents a complete, plausible company record before any explanation (0:00–0:03), so the viewer has a baseline for each change.
- Four rounds of annotated problem → clean solution turn abstract UX reasoning into visual proof (0:03–0:30).
- The last round demonstrates that an action can open in a side panel while the record remains visible (0:34–0:39); the improvement is shown in use.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 4:3 · 960×720 source · 42.0 s · 29.99 fps |
| Pace | 1 continuous composition, 0 hard cuts/min, 3 measured large step changes (4.3/min); smaller overlay and UI transitions are visible in the sheets but not counted as cuts |
| Script | No spoken words; roughly one short written diagnosis or payoff per design beat |
| Voice | None; the screen and lower text rail carry the argument |
| On screen | 100% designed product interface: polished UI interleaved with translucent cyan markup/wireframe states |
| Captions | Small, left-aligned sentence in a bottom rail; black diagnosis and cyan solution phrase; no karaoke subtitles |
| Sound | Continuous tonal instrumental bed, roughly 139 BPM (low-confidence estimate); −11.1 LUFS integrated, −0.0 dBFS true peak in source |
| Structure | Baseline plus four design decisions and a final interaction payoff; no in-video CTA |
