A tiny orange mascot guides a 53-second dark-mode launch from product UI to search and AI visibility claims.
Field notes / why it works
The first 3.5 seconds turn a faint outline into a personable mascot before naming the product at 0:03.9. From 0:13 to 0:38, increasingly detailed ranking, community, and composer screens make the pitch concrete; the final 13 seconds simplify it into two large search and AI outcome cards. The film uses 12 internal visual steps despite only one certain detected cut.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A small, distinctive mascot appears alone on black, then guides a silent, text-led launch story from name and verbs to interface proof and a two-part outcome claim. Sparse design gives the little character room to carry personality; a denser product window arrives halfway through.
Why it works
- The opening spends 0:00–0:03 drawing a tiny orange shape before revealing a face; the delayed identity creates a visual curiosity gap.
- The product is named by 0:03.9, while the workflow is shown in a sequence of ranking data, prompts, and interface actions from 0:13–0:37.
- The last 13 seconds translate the workflow into memorable outcomes: Google at 0:40, an answer at 0:45.6, and ChatGPT at 0:47.1.
