Starter prompt / by Refs

The creator shared no short prompt. This is ours for making a film like it with Claude.

Using Blender driven entirely by Python, make a 20-second film of {LANDMARK} (say, a seaside shrine with a torii gate) rising out of its own drawings. Open on a paper scroll unrolling to show an ink site plan, lift the lines into a 3D wireframe, then build it up in order: piles and platforms, columns, walls, roofs, railings and lanterns. As the scroll vanishes, let the tide flow in under a sunset sky and end on a vertical title. Use procedural textures and a Python-synthesized score; 1920×1080, 24 fps.

Field notes / why it works

The scroll moves from the first frame, and the same plan progresses through wireframe at 0:03.9, roof construction at 0:07.8, and solid architecture at 0:11.8 without a confirmed cut. Saving the water, sunset, and distant gate for about 0:16.1 gives the 23.5-second film a clear payoff, while the title waits until roughly 0:17.3 and stays readable through the final hold.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A paper plan in a charcoal void unfolds, becomes an architectural wireframe, gains material and depth, then gives way to a cinematic landscape containing the completed place. The promise is visual rather than verbal: the viewer sees whether a flat drawing can become a believable world.

Why it works

  • The scroll opens immediately (0:00–0:01.5), so there is motion before any explanation.
  • The same plan persists through wireframe at 0:03.9, roof build at 0:07.8, and solid architecture at 0:11.8. Each stage answers the same visual question with more detail.
  • The biggest scene change waits until about 0:16.1: water, atmospheric light, and a distant gate replace the dark drafting space. A vertical title arrives around 0:17.3, after the image has earned it.
