One Command to a Free VM

A silent developer launch turns a typed command into speed cards, terminal proof, an alternate chat workflow, and a held CTA.

Field notes / why it works

The command types itself over the first 2.25 seconds, then oversized number cards at 2.5–2.75 seconds reset attention before terminal proof appears by 4.5 seconds. A two-audience card at 10.5 seconds leads into a second prompt-to-result demonstration with visible output by 15 seconds; the benefit at 21 seconds and command/URL end card at 26.3 seconds make the action memorable.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A single command types itself onto a dark screen, a large numeric claim creates intrigue, and real-looking interface proof shows the product working. A second, more human workflow widens the audience before a short benefit card and a command-led end card.

Why it works

  • The first 2.25 seconds devote the whole frame to one command; its character-by-character reveal makes viewers wait for the completed action.
  • The 2.5–2.75 second number cards turn setup speed into a visible claim, then the 4.5–8.2 second terminal and application sequence supplies proof.
  • The 10.5 second audience card and 11.6–15.0 second chat-to-output example broaden the use case; the 21.0 second benefit and 26.3 second end card make the action easy to remember.
