Liquid Glass Controls in Motion
A 16-second, beat-synced glass UI study that morphs one central element through working controls without a cut.
Field notes / why it works
The nearly empty pastel opening lets a single frosted disc command attention by 0:25, then three controls appear by 0:75. A dark media card at 2:25 gives the morph a clear functional payoff; later pill, panel and search forms renew interest around 8:00–11:9. One 16-second shot and zero cuts keep the material transformation easy to follow.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A single translucent control appears over a soft iridescent wallpaper, multiplies into small buttons, becomes a working media widget, then re-forms as other interface surfaces. The promise is visual: watch one material behave like many useful controls. There is no spoken explanation or call to action.
Why it works
- At 0:00 the nearly empty field and tiny central glint create a visual curiosity gap; the first distinct disc is visible by 0:25.
- At 0:75–2:75, three glass buttons contract into a capsule and expand into a dark music player. The changing function supplies a payoff without a cut.
- The same pastel field persists across all 16 seconds: one shot, zero cuts, four measured step changes (15 picture changes/min). The fixed canvas makes each morph easy to read.

| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1:1 · 16.0 s · source export 720×720 at 60 fps |
| Pace | 1 shot · 0 cuts/min · 4 measured internal changes, or 15 picture changes/min · 16 s average shot |
| Script | No spoken script; tiny interface labels only. A transcript marked at 13:08 is a low-confidence music false positive. |
| Voice | None |
| On screen | 100% designed UI motion graphic, fixed square framing |
| Captions | None; control labels and corner metadata act as interface text |
| Sound | Continuous electronic instrumental, roughly 121 BPM; −13.0 LUFS integrated, −0.9 dBFS true peak |
| Structure | Empty-field hook → button family → functional widget → simpler surfaces → continuing morph; no CTA shown |
