Tile-Slot Self Introduction
A 15-second paper-grid introduction whose cycling name tiles open a six-page illustrated identity sequence.
Field notes / why it works
The three center tiles move through several incomplete letter states in the first 0.75 seconds and resolve the name by about 1.25 seconds, turning an introduction into a quick visual puzzle. Color-coded pages then add role (3.4 s), human detail (8.9 s), channel (10.7 s), and an end identity (13.4 s), while the tiny header and page counter keep the fast sequence coherent.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A tiny personal introduction presented as a six-page animated stationery set. Three oversized rounded tiles cycle through letterforms like a slot machine and settle on the name by about 1.25 seconds; subsequent pages supply an ID badge, a personal constraint, a publishing channel, and a cheerful sign-off. The promise is immediate: here is who this maker is and what they share.
Why it works
- The tiled name becomes readable in about 1.25 seconds after four visibly different states at 0.00, 0.25, 0.50, and 0.75; the viewer gets both a puzzle and its answer.
- The style changes page by page while the paper-grid motif and tiny page counter remain; the 2.15-second opening and 2.5-second ID page keep the introduction moving.
- The job card at 3.4 seconds, life detail at 8.9, publishing card at 10.7, and end identity at 13.4 add a new dimension each time, all without requiring narration.

| Reference | |
|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 1280 × 720 · 15.0 s · 30 fps |
| Pace | 5 measured shots; 4 cuts / 16 cuts per minute; 1 detected internal step / 20 detected picture changes per minute; mean shot 3.0 s. Animated movement within shots is more frequent than those change counts suggest. |
| Script | Short Japanese on-screen labels and phrases; no reliable spoken script or spoken WPM. |
| Voice | None apparent. The automatic five-word English transcript conflicts with the Japanese picture and is likely a music recognition error. |
| On screen | 100% designed motion graphics; no filmed people or screen recording. |
| Captions | No dialogue captions; large Japanese headline text, small English micro-labels, and a page number. |
| Sound | Instrumental backing track reported by the creator; measured −16.2 LUFS integrated and −7.0 dBFS true peak. Rough tempo estimate 99 BPM, low confidence; no clear cut-synced effects. |
| Structure | Tile reveal → role/ID → personal context → channel → identity/sign-off. Payoff is the settled name at ~1.25 s; final card at ~11.8 s. |
