Sway: Find Your Night
A 54-second nightlife app launch film that turns a group-chat question into a tempo-led tour of real phone screens.
Field notes / why it works
A bracketed question resolves by 0:01.5, and scattered chat replies make the problem concrete before any product appears. Genuine app screens progress from discovery around 0:07.8 to planning around 0:23 and ticket proof around 0:38.8; the logo and QR wait until 0:51–0:52. The fixed pale grid holds 13 internal visual changes together without a conventional cut-driven pace.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A centered, typeset question about going out becomes a tour of a nightlife app. Isolated phone captures prove five jobs the product can do, while a quiet technical frame, warm yellow brackets, and tempo-led motion make the screens feel like one composed film.
Why it works
- The first real idea appears by 0:01.5: a short question, surrounded by fragments of group-chat friction. It sets up a need before the app arrives.
- The film moves from discovery (0:07.8–0:17.5) to planning (0:23.2–0:38.8), then to artist and account tools (0:41–0:46.6). Each feature is shown in a phone, rather than asserted in a long claim.
- Branding is held until about 0:51; the logo, short offer, and QR code fill the final 3 seconds after the proof.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · source file 1280×720, 60 fps · 54.3 s |
| Pace | One continuous designed canvas detected, 0 definite cuts/min, one uncertain change at 0:54; 13 measured internal picture changes, about 14.4 picture changes/min · measured shot length 54.34 s |
| Script | No reliable spoken script. The speech transcript is four isolated punctuation marks; use sparse on-screen copy instead. |
| Voice | No narrator or visible speaker established by the supplied facts and sheets. |
| On screen | Motion-designed off-white canvas throughout; app screen recordings and phone mockup in the central tour; no talking head. |
| Captions | No dialogue captions; large sentence-case keyword cards and tiny monospaced technical labels. |
| Sound | Continuous, music-like bed around 85 BPM; measured −19.5 LUFS integrated and −1.4 dBFS true peak. Small UI accents are consistent with the post description; exact placement is not measured. |
| Structure | Question → introduction → discover → plan → bring friends → tickets → support/account → logo and QR CTA. |
