An illustrated New Zealand memory book
A silent browser flip-through turns AI-drawn trip memories into a tactile acrylic-style picture book.

The creator shared no short prompt. This is ours for making a film like it with Claude.
Look at the travel photos in {PHOTO_FOLDER} and repaint each one as an acrylic-style illustration drawn purely with JavaScript canvas code, with layered brush strokes, visible paper texture and soft edges, and no photo pixels in the final output. Bind them into a small picture book in one HTML file: a cover with a painted flower, stars and a short handwritten dedication, then one scene per page with a caption and a gentle page-turn. Record a 20-second flip-through at 1920×1200 with headless Chrome and ffmpeg.Field notes / why it works
The finished cover is visible at 0:00, so the viewer understands the creative result before the first page opens. Ten internal page changes deliver about 28 visual changes per minute, cycling from green pastures at 0:02.6 to a starry night at 0:11.4; the final red café spread then gets roughly five seconds to land.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A small illustrated book sits on a white browser canvas, opens from a sentimental cover to a title page, then flips through painted travel memories. The promise is visible at once: an ordinary collection of memories has become a crafted, interactive object. The video sells the result through page motion and scene variety, without narration or a soundtrack.
Why it works
- The cover is already a finished artifact at 0:00: a flower, stars, bead garland and three fragments of a dedication make the object feel personal before it moves.
- The first page reveal lands by 0:02.25, then ten measured picture changes maintain momentum at about 28 changes/min without camera cuts.
- Every spread changes place or mood: sheep fields at 0:02.6, blossom at 0:04.2, snow at 0:09.9, night sky at 0:11.4, and a red café table at 0:16.5.
