Hermes Business blue-hour launch film
A wordless, blue-toned business launch film that trades rapid city montage for a long, readable title reveal.
Field notes / why it works
The first cut at 0.21 seconds and five cuts in the opening three seconds make the blurred blue city an immediate visual hook. A hand-held name card near 4.4 seconds plants a readable clue before the light-streak crescendo; the edit then slows into an 11.1-second final shot, with the title visible by about 18.6 seconds.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A wordless product launch film races through an electric-blue city, anonymous people, a brief name card, and abstract light, then holds the product title over a dark, defocused city. Its promise is atmospheric rather than explanatory: something built for serious business is arriving. The final identity is legible by about 18.6 seconds and remains on screen until 25.1 seconds.
Why it works
- It interrupts the feed immediately: the city rush starts at 0:00 and the first cut lands at 0.21 s; five cuts happen in the first three seconds.
- The visual pace changes deliberately: 15 cuts by 10 s, then a 2.12 s glowing-figure shot at 11.9 s and a final 11.1 s shot beginning at 14.0 s.
- The product name gets repeated in two forms: a physical card around 4.4 s and a clean title from about 18.6 s onward. This lets a mostly abstract film land one clear memory.
