Rive CLI: A Reel of Agent-Built Interactive Work
A 31-second launch reel proves the new CLI through a fast sequence of playable-looking games, interfaces and editor views.
Field notes / why it works
A finished racing experience moves immediately, with a first-person payoff by 0:01.75, before the first cut at 0:04.75. From 0:10, card play, glass controls, gauges, a design system and an editor establish breadth in mostly 1.3–2.5-second glimpses; the final 7.4-second section adds three internal visual changes. The explicit CLI claim lives in the post, keeping the video focused on proof.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
Open inside the best finished interactive experience, stay with its motion long enough to feel real, then cut through a widening range of other outputs. This reference moves from a dark 3D racing scene (0:00–0:05.5) through games, interface concepts, a design-system page and an editor, ending in a colorful sequencer and arcade interface (0:23.8–0:31.3). The companion post names the product and says people worked with agents to build these examples using its CLI; the video contains no explicit spoken explanation.
Why it works
- The 0:00–0:03 hook is moving proof, with a fast road and illuminated rings, even though the detector registers no cut in those first three seconds.
- The first idea gets roughly 5.5 seconds; after 0:10, most examples get only 1.3–2.5 seconds. That change lets viewers inspect one result and then see breadth.
- A cohesive dark canvas carries high-contrast interfaces across unrelated examples: racing, rhythm game, cards, glass UI, gauges, design system and pixel game (0:05.5–0:31.3).

|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 31.3 s · 1280 × 720 at 30 fps |
| Pace | 10 measured shots, 9 cuts, 17.3 cuts/min; 4 changes within shots, 24.9 picture changes/min; mean shot 3.13 s, median 2.42 s |
| Script | No spoken script. The transcript's five low-confidence words are a music annotation, not speech. |
| Voice | None. Let the UI motion and short post copy explain the claim. |
| On screen | Nearly all product output: interactive 3D/game examples, software UI, one editor view. No presenter. |
| Captions | No added subtitles. Text is native to the showcased interfaces. |
| Sound | Continuous music-like bed; roughly 87 BPM measured, style uncertain. No measured cut-impact pattern. −14.5 LUFS integrated, −4.5 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Hero demo → fast examples → making context → two playful closing examples. No in-video CTA or explicit end card. |
