iPhone Duo transformation reveal

A quiet 16:9 device transformation with a delayed spoken name and a single cut to a wide presentation stage.

Field notes / why it works

The device fills the opening frame, then changes from a wide screen to a compact upright form by about 0:07, making the product itself the hook. Naming waits until 0:09.3, and the only definite cut at 0:11.5 jumps to a huge presentation stage for a scale reset and handoff.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A clean product film opens on the finished object, lets it transform in a single continuous-looking shot, names it only after the viewer has seen what it does, then cuts to a wide presentation scene. The promise is visual: the viewer gets an unobstructed look at a new form factor before the spoken handoff.

Why it works

  • At 0:00 the device fills almost the entire frame, with hands supplying scale; no title competes with the image.
  • The screen changes at about 0:03 and the object becomes a compact, upright device by about 0:06–0:08. One visual question carries the first nine silent seconds.
  • The product is named at 0:09.3, then the first hard cut at 0:11.5 resets scale to a wide stage and turns the reveal into an announcement.
