Portable Computer’s quiet local AI launch
A silent, editorial product launch moves from a warm title card to concrete local and cloud handoff demos.
Field notes / why it works
The product and hardware promise resolves by 0:02.8 through staggered type on a warm, sparse background. A task entered at 0:20 develops into a running local process and result by 0:44, making the claim concrete. The permission gate at 0:53 and cloud-to-local handoff through 1:10 add a useful second question before the final availability card at 1:31.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A silent, music-led launch film announces a local computing product, proves it with two realistic interface tasks, and ends on an availability card. The engine is restraint: a warm dark title gives way to a nearly white demo stage, where one new claim or UI state appears at a time.
Why it works
- The offer is legible by 0:02.8: product name plus the specific hardware. Two text additions in the first three seconds create momentum without a camera cut.
- At 0:20–0:44, a concrete finance task becomes a visible running process and a numerical result. The film moves from assertion to proof.
- At 0:53–1:10, a permission gate, cloud models, local hardware diagram, and returned review explain the boundary of “local” through interface behavior. A second task at 1:21 renews attention before the final card.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720, 16:9 · 97.0 s at 30 fps |
| Pace | 3 detected shots, 2 cuts, 1.2 cuts/min; 26 internal steps, 17.3 total picture changes/min; mean shot 32.33 s (the 84.27 s final shot contains most of the animation) |
| Script | No spoken script; short headline cards, UI labels, and two longer task prompts. Spoken words and WPM: 0 / not applicable. |
| Voice | None; no presenter or character. The automated pitch readout is a false signal against the empty transcript. |
| On screen | Warm gradient title and download card for ~10 s; light product UI and motion graphics for most of the remaining 87 s. No live-action person. |
| Captions | None. All text is native headline, diagram label, or product UI. |
| Sound | Music-like bed with detected ~129 BPM pulse (rough estimate); −16.5 LUFS integrated, −1.7 dBFS true peak. Specific instruments and effects are unverified. |
| Structure | 7 beats: announcement, local model, ownership claim, example task and result, optional cloud handoff, second task, availability and brand end card. |
