Migma AI problem-to-proof launch film
A music-led software launch film that moves from crowded-category graphics through human context to concrete UI and inbox proof.
Field notes / why it works
The first 2.6 seconds turn a crowded market into a stark problem card, then a human scene at 2.75 seconds resets the image before the product reveal. Proof escalates from the editor and translated creative at 14.4 seconds to metrics at 17.4 seconds and delivered emails from 20.2 seconds. Three short UI shots from 24.1 to 28.3 seconds accelerate into a 3.6-second brand hold.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
Open on the crowded incumbent category, state the ugly alternative in a stark type card, then reveal a human scene and the new product. The next 25 seconds turn the product promise into proof: landing page, editor, localization, dashboard, delivered outputs, and a clean brand mark. The film communicates mostly through pictures and music, with no product narrator.
Why it works
- The first 2.6 s sets up a recognizable market with five competitor marks orbiting a black center; the white text card finishes the problem statement by 1.75 s.
- A live-action person at 2.75–5.6 s gives the software a human context before the product homepage appears around 5.6 s.
- Proof gets more specific as the film goes: translated creative at 14.7 s, performance figures at 17.4 s, then output inside Gmail and Outlook from 20.2–26.4 s.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720, 16:9 · 31.9 s at 24 fps |
| Pace | 10 measured shots; 9 cuts, or 16.9 cuts/min (16.9–18.8 if the uncertain 3.0 s change is a cut); 18.8 picture changes/min; mean shot 3.19 s, median 2.9 s |
| Script | No product voiceover. An automated transcript found 111 words at 213 wpm, but these appear to be song lyrics and do not function as narration. Copy budget is short on-screen phrases and real UI text. |
| Voice | No presenter or narrator; rhythmic sung/rap vocals in the music (inferred from the transcript) |
| On screen | Approx. 8% competitor graphic/type, 9% live action, 72% product/UI and outputs, 11% brand end card; estimates from the shot sheet |
| Captions | No subtitles; one centered, bold white problem phrase at 1.0–2.6 s, then product UI labels |
| Sound | Continuous, music-forward vocal track; no measured cut-specific SFX; −9.3 LUFS integrated, +0.3 dBFS measured true peak |
| Structure | Category problem → human bridge → product entrance → creation/translation/performance proof → inbox payoff → logo; no explicit CTA |
