FLUX 3's world-switch launch film
A 46-second visual-range montage that travels from a forest-screen portal through contrasting cinematic worlds before a late product reveal.
Field notes / why it works
A forest TV and signal glitch turn the first second into a visual portal, then a horse, wave, shattered glass, ballroom, desert and more prove range without explanation. The film varies shot length from 0.87 to 6.05 seconds and saves the product name for 0:41.9, making the final black cards feel like a reveal.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A branded screen in a real setting becomes a portal into a succession of visually unrelated worlds. The film proves breadth by rapidly changing subject, scale, texture, and camera language; only after roughly 42 seconds does it name the product. Its promise is implicit from 0:01: one creative system can plausibly make many kinds of moving images.
Why it works
- The opening TV in a misty forest gives the eye a physical anchor; a glitch at roughly 0:00.75 launches the first moving example without explanatory copy.
- The examples change category every few seconds: horse (0:01–0:05), wave (0:05–0:07), glass (0:07–0:13), ballroom (0:13–0:19), desert (0:19–0:22), and then miniature, action, and human scenes. That range is itself the proof.
- The product name is withheld until 0:41.9, following the striking black and white hand comparison at 0:39.9. The final two black cards let the imagery resolve into an announcement.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 1280 × 720 · 25 fps · 46.2 s |
| Pace | 17 detected shots, 16 cuts; 20.8–32.5 cuts/min allowing 9 uncertain motion changes; mean shot 2.72 s, median 2.16 s. Five detected in-shot changes bring the conservative picture-change rate to 27.3/min. |
| Script | No narration or explanatory script. Four words of end-card copy. Automatic transcription found five low-confidence spoken words in the middle, likely incidental scene audio; do not use its calculated speech pace as a model. |
| Voice | No guiding narrator; any human speech is brief, incidental, and partly obscured by music. |
| On screen | One branded physical prop opener, about 13 seconds of nature/material imagery, about 19 seconds of varied worlds and crafted scenes, about 10 seconds of action/human technology, then 4 seconds of title/logo cards. |
| Captions | None. End-card typography only: small, clean white sans serif centred on black. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal music-like bed; rough 96 BPM estimate has low confidence. -16.9 LUFS integrated, -7.7 dBFS true peak in the measured source. No systematic loud hit on cuts. |
| Structure | Portal → breadth of realism → breadth of styles/worlds → action and human/technical peak → delayed name and logo. No spoken CTA. |
