Readwise 2.0 phone-first launch film
A music-led app launch that moves from a quiet phone reveal through UI feature proof to a matching orange availability card.
Field notes / why it works
Shot 1 holds the device for 165 frames while the interface assembles, so the user sees the core action before the claim. The full-frame field at f165 lowers luma, and shot 4's 938-frame UI sequence uses internal hard cuts at f662 and f1114 plus scale changes to sustain proof. The field returns at f1469 for a clear close.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A near-empty device wakes into a useful daily action; a short colour card announces change; a long, moving interface demonstration proves it. The return to the colour field gives the product montage a clean close.
Why it works (inferred):
- Shot 1 waits 5.50 s before the first cut while the phone acquires content. The user understands the action before the launch claim.
- Shot 4 carries 31.27 s but changes device scale, screens and interaction; its internal cuts at f662 and f1114 keep one apparent sequence from becoming static.
- The end card reuses shot 2's lower-luma colour field after the bright UI run; the brightness curve records the shift at 49.00 s.
