Health signals, one conversation
A 53-second health companion launch film moves from scattered real-life data overlays to a unified phone experience and waitlist reveal.
Field notes / why it works
The first 4 seconds connect a bedside sleep reading and workday stress card before speech begins, making fragmented data visible. Three short source scenes at 0:09–0:19 set up the clean phone reveal at 0:19; from 0:25–0:41, specific exercise, habit and lab examples prove the product claim. The 6.7-second uncluttered waitlist card gives the action room to register.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A landscape product launch film makes scattered personal data feel like a recognizable daily problem, then shows one companion making it useful. It uses brief lived-in scenes, restrained dashboard overlays, two human presenters and a clean phone demo before a single waitlist card. The explicit product promise arrives around 0:19; the first spoken line at 0:04 personifies the underlying problem.
Why it works
- At 0:00–0:04, a bedside phone and then a laptop with translucent metrics establish the context before any explanation. The first cut is at 1.97 s.
- At 0:09–0:19, recovery, training and breakfast each get distinct footage and a data card; the 0:19 phone reveal resolves that fragmentation visually.
- At 0:25–0:41, the film shows three concrete uses (pre-session advice, comparing habits, understanding lab changes) rather than leaving the product as an abstract promise.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720, 16:9 · 53.2 s · 30 fps |
| Pace | 14 shots, 13 cuts, 14.7 cuts/min; 10 within-shot changes; 25.9 picture changes/min; mean shot 3.8 s, median 3.1 s |
| Script | 126 spoken words; 181 wpm across the whole film, 215 wpm while speaking; nine sentences averaging 14 words; no questions; about 7.9 uses of “you” per 100 words |
| Voice | Warm, conversational founder-style delivery; medium register, animated but measured |
| On screen | About 53% live-action lifestyle and data scenes, 32% two-presenter outdoor footage, 15% phone UI/end card (visual estimate); designed UI often overlays footage |
| Captions | Small white sentence subtitles at the lower center during speech; no karaoke or colored word highlighting |
| Sound | Tonal, understated bed (music-like, inferred), roughly 110 BPM, about 10 dB below speech; no clear repeated cut effects; measured −23.1 LUFS integrated |
| Structure | Silent context → fragmentation → product reveal → three uses → benefit → 6.7 s waitlist card |
