Stocks Join the Backpack
A 35-second launch film that turns a stock-trading beta into a crisp sequence of type, market UI, proof, and a buy action.
Field notes / why it works
A near-empty opening reveals a two-word suspense line by 0.25 seconds, then floating market cards supply the first visual clue before the 2.5-second cut. Seven cuts in the first 16 seconds alternate black claim cards with white UI/proof scenes; the later buy ticket around 23.5 seconds turns broad capability claims into a concrete action before the final unified promise.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A minimalist launch film opens with a suspense line, surrounds it with floating product data, then reveals the new capability through a rapid series of large headlines. The last half turns feature claims into a simple transaction and ends on one unified product promise.
Why it works
- The first 2.5 seconds withhold the product name: a near-white screen resolves into “It’s time” while tiny stock cards enter around it. The sparse line creates a curiosity gap.
- From 2.5–16.0 seconds, seven cuts move from belonging (“in your Backpack”) to stocks, legal/asset proof, benefits, and product breadth. The information arrives in digestible cards.
- From about 23.5 seconds, a recognizable buy confirmation makes the abstract claims concrete; the 31.4-second end line gathers the feature list into one promise.

|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 1280×720, 16:9 · 34.9 seconds at 30 fps |
| Pace | 8 detected shots, 7 cuts, 12 cuts/min, mean 4.36 s/shot; 2 detected internal steps, 15.5 measured picture changes/min. The long last shot contains several visible message states. |
| Script | Short on-screen headlines and benefit labels; no reliable spoken script. The automated German transcript has low confidence and conflicts with the English visuals. |
| Voice | No intelligible narrator or speaking person evident; make the format text-led. |
| On screen | Entirely designed motion graphics: about half floating finance UI and the rest bold typography, proof collage, and transaction UI. No presenter. |
| Captions | No speech subtitles. Key phrases act as centered kinetic title cards. |
| Sound | Continuous, music-like bed; estimated 114 BPM; loud, music-forward mix at −9.9 LUFS integrated, true peak 0.0 dBFS. |
| Structure | Suspense → product universe → category reveal → legitimacy/benefits → access → rails → transaction → unifying payoff. No separate spoken CTA. |
