Codex Sites: From Request to Shareable App
A silent product launch film turns a typed promise into UI proof, then a rapid gallery of possible sites.
Field notes / why it works
The first strong visual change waits until 2.35 seconds, turning a sparse typed premise into a violet reveal. A specific request appears around 0:07, access control around 0:26, and a dense gallery at 0:35; the 14 measured picture changes and six rapid uncertain transitions make the final expansion feel earned.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A quiet white screen types a tiny product association into view. The film then shows a concrete request inside a desktop app, a generated result, one practical control, and finally a fast, overwhelming gallery of possible outcomes before a restrained end card. The opening asks the viewer to decode a sparse message; the closing supplies visual proof at scale.
Why it works
- The screen begins almost empty and delays the first measured picture change until 2.35 seconds. A small black phrase and a purple card make the reveal feel larger.
- The abstract promise becomes an example by 0:07.7: a user request inside a product conversation, followed by the app working on it.
- At 0:35–0:39, the visual density jumps from single examples to many colorful sites; measured frame motion peaks in the 35–40 second window.

| Reference | |
|---|---|
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 46.5 seconds · 1280×720 · 60 fps |
| Pace | Detector reports 1 continuous shot, 0 confirmed cuts (0–7.7 cuts/min with six uncertain changes). More useful edit measure: 14 definite internal picture changes, about 18.1/min, plus six rapid possible cuts at 0:35–0:38. |
| Script | No reliable spoken script; all key claims are on screen. Use 5–10 short text cards/interface phrases. |
| Voice | None. The apparent one-word transcript at 0:36.7 is likely a false recognition over music. |
| On screen | Full-frame typography; product UI and web page captures; a final multi-site collage. No presenter or camera footage. |
| Captions | No speech subtitles. Oversized black headline cards with a single purple accent, plus legible native UI text. |
| Sound | Audio present; rhythmic music-like bed (inferred), beat estimate 179 BPM or 89.5 half-time. Measured −12.5 LUFS integrated; reported +1.5 dBFS true peak. |
| Structure | Four movements: typed setup 0:00–0:07, request/proof 0:07–0:21, utility/control 0:21–0:34, gallery/payoff 0:35–0:43, end card 0:42–0:46.5. |
