Field notes / why it works

The first 2.55 seconds show a populated library with two collections and a vivid image grid, so the product's purpose is visible before the first click. Detail views at 0:03–0:10 and 0:25–0:39 prove notes, tags, colours and variations through cursor actions; returns to the grid at 0:11, 0:40 and 1:08 keep the journey oriented. A dark-mode switch around 0:58 supplies a late visual reset.

Plate 01 / The format in one breath

A clean desktop screen recording starts on a visually rich library, then opens individual references to show metadata and organization tools. It keeps proving the product through cursor actions, artwork, and UI state changes, with an instrumental bed and no spoken explanation. The post copy supplies the explicit launch promise; the video itself demonstrates it.

Why it works

  • The opening library holds for 2.55 seconds and shows two collections above a colourful masonry grid: the use case is legible before any click.
  • It shows outcomes, not just menus: a reference's image, notes, generated tags, and collections appear by 0:09.8; another reference gets colours and a variation control around 0:28–0:34.
  • Repeated returns to the grid at 0:11, 0:40, and 1:08 reset the viewer's orientation between deeper feature demonstrations.

ScriptNo intelligible narration. The transcript's isolated “I” and “You” have no usable spoken sentence. Feature labels are native UI text.
VoiceNone; cursor and screen states do the explaining.
On screenAbout 100% desktop app screen recording; roughly two-thirds bright library/detail UI and one-third warm or dark detail states (visual estimate). No presenter.
CaptionsNone added. Keep actual UI labels readable; post text carries the launch line.
SoundContinuous tonal, music-like bed, roughly 72 BPM; no clear cut-synced effects. Measured −12.5 LUFS integrated, −0.3 dBFS true peak.
StructureSeven beats: overview → first item and metadata → collection → second item and variation → website/reference → Spaces → dark mode and grid return.
