Liquid Photos phone interaction demo
A single-take, silent phone demo turns photo browsing into two richly designed information cards.
Field notes / why it works
The locked top-down shot keeps the full phone and the controlling fingertip visible for all 22.3 seconds, so each screen response is easy to follow without speech or cuts. Familiar photo browsing changes from a cat at 0:00 to city, flower, and controller images; designed feature and care cards at 0:14.9 and 0:18.6 give the sequence a clear payoff.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A real phone lies on a wooden table while one finger browses a minimal, image-led interface. The payoff is a change from ordinary media browsing to polished, useful content cards. The video makes its promise visually: the viewer watches the interface respond before seeing the more ambitious end state at about 0:15.
Why it works
- The phone fills roughly three quarters of the 9:16 frame from 0:00, making the interface readable while the visible hand establishes that someone is controlling it.
- A fixed, tiny thumbnail rail and large central image let the viewer understand the browse action without narration. The central image changes from cat at 0:00 to city by 0:02.75, flower by 0:07.4, and controller by 0:11.2.
- At 0:14.9, the display becomes a flower feature card; at 0:18.6, it becomes a care guide. Those two screens turn the interaction into a reveal rather than an endless gallery scroll.
Plate 02 / Format card
| Platform · aspect · length | X · 9:16 · 720×1280 · 22.3 s · 30 fps |
| Pace | 1 continuous shot, 0 camera cuts/min, 22.3 s average shot; several visible in-screen content states. Automated cut/change counts miss these screen updates. |
| Script | No spoken or caption script; 0 spoken words, WPM not applicable. UI copy appears on the final cards. |
| Voice | None. The hand is an anonymous operator archetype. |
| On screen | 100% top-down live-action phone/product close-up; all content changes occur within its display. |
| Captions | None; small UI labels and two designed information cards supply the words. |
| Sound | Effectively silent: measured −70 LUFS integrated; no audible music, voice, or effects. |
| Structure | Browse → choose/transform → feature card → practical second card. Payoff begins around 0:14.9; no explicit CTA. |
