Fathom 3.0 Product Universe
A 70-second launch film that moves from a glowing planet into a practical meeting workflow, then expands to mobile and integrations.
Field notes / why it works
A cyan planet emerges from black in the first second while the voice promises relief from meeting notes. From 0:13 to 0:41, call footage, live notes, a typed question, and a highlighted answer form a usable proof sequence; the desktop-to-phone move at 0:46 and integration orbit at 0:59 widen the promise. The detector reports only one cut, but the 10 measured internal changes and continuous animation make this a deliberately designed tour.
Plate 01 / The format in one breath
A narrated launch film starts with an abstract visual metaphor, then moves through one continuous user workflow: capture, work in progress, follow-up, anywhere access, and connected tools. The promise is spoken in the first three seconds; product proof starts around 0:13. The film feels like one camera move through a branded world even as its UI modules and backgrounds change.
Why it works
- At 0:00–0:03, an electric-blue planet draws itself from black while the voice promises relief from a familiar task. The animation keeps moving even though there is no detected cut.
- At 0:13–0:29, the proof advances from a video call to a live summary, a scratchpad, and the post-call view. Each screen answers the next practical question.
- At 0:30–0:38, a typed cross-meeting question turns the feature list into a concrete use case. At 0:46–1:09, desktop, phone, and an integration orbit widen the scope before the close.

| Platform · aspect · length | X · 16:9 · 1280×720 · 29.97 fps · 70.5 s |
| Pace | Detector: 2 broad shots, 1 cut (0.9/min), mean 35.24 s; 10 measured step changes, 9.4 total picture changes/min. Continuous motion and scene morphs create more activity than the cut count suggests. |
| Script | 215 words · 186 wpm across runtime, 224 wpm while speaking · 14 sentences averaging 15.4 words · no questions in narration, but a question appears in the UI. |
| Voice | One low-register, animated, direct narrator; spoken coverage 99%. |
| On screen | Approx. 25% cosmic graphics, 55% designed UI and call footage, 20% phone, feature, and integration graphics (inferred from sampled frames). |
| Captions | No editorial subtitles; legible text belongs to the product UI and feature pills. |
| Sound | Continuous tonal music-like bed around 11 dB below voice; −10.2 LUFS integrated, +0.2 dBFS measured true peak. |
